This last event at Kesler’s was AWESOME! It just happened to be the same night as a UFC event (big screen, room full of tvs, monster sound system), so after 8PM when each telecast ended, the crowd just turned in their seats and watched real live fights. It was if these guys were sharing the card with the UFC!

There are some new guys popping up down there, and a few that have been around a while are getting pretty damned good. Tacoma, Puyallup and Olympia guys don’t seem to get out of there unscathed too often.

Lonnie Bryant showed patience as long as his reach against an incredibly active Frankie Mendez who just ripped from the start. Lonnie caught him in a rear naked choke, but spent most of his time defending against this smaller opponent.

Rico Most put one in the W column in a second round TKO. Something tells me this kid is going to be around a while.

I seriously thought Chris Fraidenburg had caught James “Jacknife” Marohl in an in escapable aerial choke hold. The two of them looked like a headless, plucked Big Bird walking around the cage for over 30 seconds before James was able to slowly go to the ground and get out. Then Jacknife hopped him all the way across the ring before posturing up with his hooks planted. It looked like Chris’s tapout came before the first full strike rained down, but referee Wesley Welch was ready no matter what.
